Painting the evaporator

Thinking about painting the evaporator, but not sure if heat paint will even take that much heat?

Most of the high temp stove paint (1200 deg F) holds up for one season at least. I try to paint mine each year prior to our Taste and Tour event. Make sure you do a small boil to allow the gas to be gone before you have the sugarhouse filled with friends.

I have been thinking about doing the same thing as well. I need to do some wire rushing first though. Not a job I would do right now would be a summertime project

Thanks for the reminder, Chris. I just purchased High Heat paint at Lowes and it noted that there would be smoke / gas on the first heat after the painting (engine, grill, wood burning stove, etc). I picked up a can of 2000*F paint for the stake base and 1200*F for the rest of the arch, since it will be protected by insulation.

thanks for the responses. I will throw it in the garage and paint it when i have time
