I'm looking at running my Generac MC10,000 to power my second RO this year. It is a pretty simple propane powered generator. It runs on idle, or full go. At full go, it will cost $5.20/hr in propane consumption. The generator has a 50A outlet that produces 41.7A/240V.
If my memory serves me, the Turbo 600 can be run on a 40A breaker. ......nothing like cutting it close. Does anyone have a breakdown of necessary amps to start the 600GPH Turbo? I was under the impression that the staggered motor start of feed pump, circ pump, and 5HP pressure pump reduces the required amperage. Can some one confirm this?

Not sure I understand your question.

on the side of the motor(s) there is a little plate that has info on it i.e: voltage, amps etc. there should be a marking that says FLA

I checked it.....then I forgot the number. I think it was 23A. But it could have been 25A. Who knows....

I know some one who has a 600 turbo and in 6 years has never kicked the 30 Amp breaker. it takes 29A.
23HP and 6LP

The high pressure pump suppose to draw 20-22 amps.
The supply pump suppose to draw 5-6 amps
The re-circulation pump suppose to draw 5 amps.
So, around 30-33 amps total.
Normally, we recommend to have a generator that produce twice the RO amps draw to compensate for the motors peak starting amps draw. And on a RO, the biggest motor start at the end. So, its not to help you. Maybe you are better to try it in well water before season.
