arch insulation

Would one layer of 2300 degree 1" insulation blanket and fire brick be enough to keep the sides of the arch fairly cool or should I double up the blanket in the fire box section? I'd imagine 1" would be plenty for the ramp.

I would Think in the lower fire box & 1/2 - 3/4 the way up the sides of fire box & the ramp & back by the stack you would want 1/3 bricks & 2 layer blanket in the rest I think you can't enough insulation + it saves the arch
