So guys I'm reconsidering this. I originally was interested in a omega thermometer to monitor draw off temp. I thought it would be cool because I could monitor the draw of temp with ine probe and the other side with the second probe.
What do you guys rely on for thermometers on your rigs. Besides the mercland auto draw off???

Actually, I use a PID controller and RTD.
The pair will set you back about $40 on Amazon.
Calibrate in an ice water bath for 32*
After that, all it takes is a SS solenoid with a Viton membrane and you’ve got an auto draw off.

I have a ystec digital thermometer, it has a barometer built in to give you the boiling temp of water and then you can set it for 7.2 above boiling water and when it reaches temp it will alarm the first time and a light flashes. After it reaches the set temp once it only flashes a light to let you know it has reached the set temp, unless the temperature drops by 3 degrees which doesnt usually happen on my evaporator. I bought mine through macland but it had to be special ordered. Costs about $300
