My flue pan got some niter build up in the bottom of the channel that goes across the front of the pan, where the ends of all the raised flues connect to, well I made more syrup last year that previous years so guess I should have cleaned it sooner than end of season but I didn't and some of it is burnt on there pretty good. Tried to soak it with some acid and not much luck, cant be too harsh as the pan is 430 stainless, any suggestions? in thinkin wire brush on a drill as its kinda hard to get down to the bottom in there.

I let my pans soak in white vinney when we switch from dirty to clean. I try to let them soak for at least a week and use a sponge to get the easy stuff loosened up and have used an sos pad to get the stubborn crap off and then rinse with hot water, seems to work.
