I have been using Diversol and Potassium Metabisulphate to clean my plastic sap carrying tanks. I use a diluted solution of bleach to clean out any mold, then a dilute solution of diversol to clean out the bleach, rinse, and theoretically I am ready to go. I use a dilute solution of Potassium Metabisulphate for long term storage after that. Today, when purchasing the same chemicals, the store owner told me I had it exactly backwards, that the Potassium Metabisulphate was the food grade cleaner and the Diversol was the long term storage chemical. Can anybody clear this up for me? Thanks.

Have u done any research online? I'm looking at same things but need to stay organic. I THOUGHT the P ..bisulfate was ok...very interested in the result of this. Gonna look it up too...I'll report back if I find anything useful....
