For a 2x6 evaporator what size blower and motor will I need?
Can it be used with a reostat

I have a reostate on a 140 cfm motor and piggied back an additional 140 cfm to get more air. It should have been running around 240 cfm. #2 force feed #1 that was into the air under fire. I found that I would have less ash with more air and better evap rates. Had to kill it when she got close or would have issues. This season I will be air under and over thru a stack preheater for the air. I saw a catalog that said over 400 on a 2x6 was to much cfms.

look at my signature it is what was recommended by a professional arch builder (7D749). UVM maple site also has recommendations.

Just to clarify, the blower Flatlander recommends is a great choice for AOF, but would be total overkill for under the grates. A low pressure squirrel cage blowers of 200 to 300 CFM would be much cheaper and work fine there.
