Block Stove- smoke stack- pan alignment

So i plan to use 3 steam pans on a block arch this year with around 10-15 taps. I have a few questions.

Where should i make the smoke stack come out of? The top of the arch or from the top of the rear wall?

What is the most effective way to set up the pans?

definitely from the rear wall, better if you can come out of the back of the rear wall, not the top of the rear wall. the pans will work in series that way and be much more efficient.

I didnt use steam pans but the idea should be the same. This was my set up8061
