Quick question, every fall we go to a local nursery and get some sugars to plant so the next generation has something to do. The trees are already potted and the gentleman always gives us a really good deal, he doesn't have to over-winter them, fall is an opportune time to plant trees. They always vary in height, ball size but generally they are Green Mountain sugar maples. This year we got some Green Mountains but he also had Majesty and Commemoration’s. I have never heard of either, they were new varieties for him as well. The tags on both say they are sugars and are “vigorous fast growers”. I have attached a scan of their tags. Is anyone familiar with these varieties? How can they be sugars and be fast growers? Thanks for any guidance.
