Gast pump ?

Found a Gast pump Model# SAA-V110-NB.Will it work for maple , supposed to pull 27 in, is it worth $80, whats the cfm?

That is a rocking piston pump. If its rated at 27hgs. then its probably set up in parallel which gives you 3cfms according to the Gast site. That 27 hgs is at 0cfms so it will pull less as you add taps and a releaser. These are used in dentists offices and only have a 1/6hp motor. Probably not good for sugaring unless you're just using it for 50 taps or less.(emphasis on less)

Sorry I don't find a listing for that unit in the saa- there's a v109 but no 110. The 110 is tiny....25 cfm.. that's 1/4 of a cfm at 25" and less than 1/2 cfm at 20. Not worth $80.

Check out ebay, several gasts for same and alittle more $$$.
