what size bit is needed to drill hole for main line saddle? 3/4 inch line

What brand and type of saddle do you have? There are 4 know sizes for different saddles sizes.

31/64" and 3/8" are common for lapierre. Think leader uses 5/16".

CDL/IPL are 5/16" holes as well.

CDL also has 31/64" hole on the max seal and max flow saddles. Max flow gives larger orifice for vacuum transfer. Both max units have screw lock system to hold the connection tight for reduced vac leak when ice/slush is surging thru the lines. Finally found that was what had been loosening some of my saddles on the main line. Pretty neat to see the line shack and then see it reverberate back thru a lateral off the saddle. Then walked back down thru and the saddle was leaking below. Lashed her down and she was fine.
