What is better for insulation behind your fire brick, Insulation board or blanket? I was looking at this blanket on craigslist but not sure if its the best or a good deal?

I used blanket from this company. It was the least expensive tht I found. http://www.mcgillswarehouse.com/hf11-ceramic-fiber-blanket-1in-8lb-ft3-or-128kgm3-h1cf2cf3c

On of my friends used the archd board and he redid some fire brick, and the board started to crumble. Wen I do my arch I plan to use the blanket

I just looked up that blanket from the mcgillswharehouse link, they want $35 for the blanket but $20 to ship it out to CT.

That is cheaper than just the cost of the blanket for most places.

After I had that shipping sticker shock, I did look around, and it was still the best price; going to order from them

I just double checked too, it went from the $20 from a month ago to $54.26, weird, maybe it's a typo in their calculations and they will fix it soon
