I built this sugar house over the last few months with the help of pictures on this site, so I figured I would post a few pictures to help out other people that are trying to build one also. I am not a builder or carpenter in any way, so It is my own interpretation of what I want in my sugar house. There may be some "weird" things done in some peoples opinion but keep in mind I built this step by step and kept changing my mind and developing it as it was built.
Here are a few pictures of the progress. The cupola was the toughest project, but I did it the easiest way I thought would work. using reclaimed barn board for the door.

Nice job for sure. Suggestion, in the future edit your pics before posting so they are right side up, it is easier for others to view them.

Building my sugar shack was the most fun part of the whole experience. I also used this site a lot looking up pictures others had posted. I asked questions a got answers that were a real help. I found the book put out by University of Vermont on sugar house construction that someone had linked to on this site and that was a help too. Enjoy your building!

Great job! I bought an Alaskan Sawmill to mill lumber from my white pine. It is a slow process but the wood sure is cheaper.
Seeing other sugar house projects helps to keep you inspired.
R C the book from U of V is great . Lots of good info . Thanks
