Is the following setup possible/practical? I have an additional 500-600 trees "over the top of the hill." The grade of this reverse slope is approx. 20% and the vertical is approx. 80 ft. I want to collect the sap from these by gravity, running it into a semi-buried, covered 100 gal. stainless-steel tank which is currently gathering dust. First question is, can I transport this sap back up and over the hill and directly into my wet/dry system by using a generator powered deep-well submersible pump? Secondly, is it possible to have a float switch start and stop the generator automatically? I envision setting the float so that only 15-20 gallons is transferred in each cycle. Thanks.
