New Sap Truck and Tanker Combo

The guys picked up our new sap haulin' truck yesterday. It is an F550 4X4 with a 7.3L Diesel. It has a snowplow and dump bed. Can't wait to haul some sap next year! We have a little fab work to do, a pump to buy and plumb up, and she'll be ready. 78647865

I drove a '99 550 for many years at work. Probably considered ton and a half. Around 18,000 lbs gross, I think. Real heavy duty frame, rearend, brakes, etc. Real pricey to fix, too. Those 19.5 tires cost a lot, or did anyway. They are great when you need that kind of heft. Was really overkill for what I did, and the particular truck we had seemed to give us a lot of trouble. But we put 20,000 miles a year on it, too.
