Gary R and his wife visited with me today: does talking about making syrup count for the journal?

Purchased a new Lapierre 25,000 tap releaser (nicknamed Big Bertha) and ordered 5,500 feet of 2" piping and 2,500 ft of 1" piping. Will run new lines in July/August to about 500-700 taps.

My wife and I did take a small maple tour last weekend. Visited with Paddymountain and Wayside maple. Stopped at Pattersons and picked up a few taps. His RO is currently at 16 posts. Including bought sap, boiling from about 115,000 taps. Unfortunately it was a bad season for many in north central PA.

Got the internet hooked up to the sugar house. We ran the wire last year when we put in the water line. Hope to get in to the woods and cut some more hemlock to saw out as we are adding on to the sugar house. This weekend I did get two 6X12X 20' sawed out.

I got my 20 HP Peterson in 05, to complete building my sugarhouse, because the local sawyer was taking too long to cut my logs.

Gave away 5 cords of pine slabs today to the Rotary club to give out to family's, I don't need them as I have been burning hard wood and small fir that I have been cutting in the bush.

Heide and I picked up a new-to-us Lapierre turbo 600 in Northern NY yesterday. Part of the slow transition in to having RO and tanks all at the sugarhouse on one level.
next step is running the power from a new meter over to the sugarhouse.
Memtek RO will be listed in the classifieds as soon as I can get it out of the RO room to take a few pictures.
Congrats on the new RO, Eric.
