I PICKED UP THE D&G EVAPORATOR TODAY. IT IS POURING DOWN RAIN HERE SO I DIDN'T GET A CHANCE TO INSPECT IT COMPLETELY. I AM SURE I WILL HAVE A JILLION QUESTIONS WHEN WE SET IT UP. DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE I MIGHT GET A SETUP AND USER'S MANUAL FOR A 2X6 D&G?

It is well worth it to put in a little extra time and effort when bricking and insulating the arch,,I think using arch board,,and ceramic blanket in the arch works well..good luck,,Parker

Most maple equipment makers don't have manuals for anything.

I helped install a big 6' x 16' Lapierre/Waterloo/Small last spring that came with instructions. Kinda haphazard, not quite complete, some a bit outdated, and translated from French, but helpful nonetheless. They made 1500 imp gals (1800 US) with it, so it must have worked :)

If you bought it new, D&G or their dealer is the best source of information, they won't just leave you hanging to figure it out yourself. And of course, people here have all the answers when it comes time to ask specific questions.

Congrats on the new family addition :D

I'd definately call them and have them talk you through it or have them send someone to help you.
When I bought my leader it came with all the instructions I needed and on top of that the dealer I bought it through helped me with other questions I had.
I could see if you bought it used but this is brand new they should help you out. From a P.R. stand point if they treat you nice and help you then you will recommend them to others, otherwise you won't if they leave you hanging.

You should have no problem with the dealler helping you. We installed a new 4x14 last spring right in the middle of sugaring and the dealers were there at 5:00 am to help get setup. They got it up and going before they left. Had it setup and boiling in about an hour. Of course it was just the pans, arch was already setup for the pans. But now is the time to get everything up and going. Once everyone else starts thinking of sugaring they will be busy.
Good luck Pete
