What is the best way to store syrup ready for market but may not be sold for several months. Is it alright to keep in a building like your garage?

Thats where we store ours! We put them back in the case and tape them up and stack them. I try to keep them in a cool dark place, for me the best place is my garage!

The cooler the better. You don't want to pack your plastic jugs too many months ahead. You are better packing up to maybe 3 mos. worth and saving the rest in bulk, to be packed later. I have done it this way since 2004, but in the sugarhouse, which stays much cooler even on hot summer days, but I am now designing and getting ready to build a cold cellar to help keep the product even cooler. If you have room in a freezer, that is an ideal place to store syrup.
