How do you all package and ship retail orders. How much to send 1 qt. plastic and what are the pitfalls? Thanks.

Look into Flat Rate at your local post office. I think this is the best deal going. We ship a lot of syrup to Alaska and the flat rate is the best we have found.

I use flat rate for small orders and FedEx for larger orders such as 4 gal cases. 1QT would go flat rate.

I agree. Flat rate is the way to go for quarts to 1/2 gallons.

Flat rate and if you go online you get a better price than paying at the post office

there is another USPS flat rate option. It's called regional . You have to order the boxes online [they're free]. It's less expensive if the parcel isn't going as far. There are three different sizes as well.

three 1/2 gallon plastic syrup jugs will fit in a Large Flat Rate Box.

two 1/2 gallon plastic syrup jugs will fit in a Medium Flat Rate Box (USPS)

USPS Flat Rate and Regional rates are very completive for a dense product like syrup.
Regional Box A will easily handle 2 quarts and possibly 3.

I have a business out on the west coast that is looking for a Drum of syrup. Any one here ship a 40 gal drum.

I would try BDR Transport here in Bellows Falls. They are an LTL carrier that picks up all over New England and ships direcrly to their terminals in California. Then delivers to your customer.
