I am looking at buying a storage housing from D&G and was wanting to see how many people use storage housings verse just storing in the RO? Is there any benefit either way? My RO is in a heated room all year long. Thanks

I made 2 housings (my membranes are 4" x 40", so 4" PVC worked well, cap on one end, plug on the other, and I stored the new membranes in there from when I purchased the RO, but then after my first season I decided to just leave them in the RO. My RO room is also heated all year. Super insulated , 3x 100 watt light bulbs on a low range line volt thermostat. If the power goes out, I even have back up via my solar and battery bank with an inverter.
My understanding is storage solution works by excluding oxygen to prevent bacteria growth. So this is why mine go into airtight containers.
