Maple Coated Apples

Has anyone ever made maple coated apples? I'm thinking something like caramel apples. Any ideas on how to do it?

I have seen posts about this before, not sure if anyone has figured out a way to do it, if you find a way that works, please post it back here. It is something I would like to make.
