At a fairly large syrup festival in Central Ontario yesterday the prices ranged from $24 - $26/litre. A gallon in Canada is always Imperial, but Maple Syrup is sold in 4 litre containers which is fairly close to a U.S. gallon. About 1.06 US gallons in 4 litres. Hope that helps.

That is what I thought, I only saw 3.7 and 4 litter bottles at the supply store.

While this certainly doesn't apply to Canadian pricing, I just HAVE to mention what I saw today. Quebec maple syrup is being sold 250 ml for $30 in Barbados. That works out to $480 gallon. :o How amazing is that? (For our American friends, 250 ml is about one cup.)
Oh, and that's $480 in Barbados dollars - divide in half for Canadian or American dollars.

Perfect then I should re-package it in 500 mil bottles so I can get it on a plane. And pay for a vacation down south. We go to Costa Rica wonder what it's worth there? Who needs clothes just fill the suitcases with liquid gold.

The going rate in our area is $60-$65 for 4L, $33-$35 for 2L and $20-$22 for 1L.
Most people I know who say they made X-gallons means they made that many 4L's.
I can't say I've seen an imperial gallon container in a long time. The only containers we see locally that are not in metric units are the 1/2 US gallon and 1 gallon glass jugs.
