when do you guys call her quits and shut the vacuum off? Sap is a little yellow but none of the trees are budding.

You know when the syrup tastes really bad? That means you should have pulled after the last run.

Seriously, it depends on if you don't mind making some commercial. I have people that want at least 6-7 gallons of my darkest, strongest stuff. They LOVED the syrup that I made last year after the four 80 degree days.

If your last syrup was good, keep boiling.
