Just wodering how everybody made out this year. Seemed to be a long season but never really had any good strong runs. We had a few days but not consistant. I ended up around 85 gallons total. mostly med. amber. wish I had held onto most of my light to do candy and confections but i did hide 1 and a half gallons that I can do some candy with. good season all and all.

Just 11 gal this year. Thats 11X better than last year. Boiled all the sap I got except for about 250 gal of spoiled 1%.

Did get plenty of main line up, new shack built and learned plenty of lessons this second year of sappin on our new place. Really the first year since we cant really count last year.

13 gallons and a pint. Great first season I think. Worked a little harder than I should have and learned a lot. Looking forward to next year with some upgrades to the arch, collection, and a sugar shack!

First boil Feb 18th , last boil a week ago today. 251 gallons total.
Made a ton of fancy, a good share of med and dark then a ton of great tasting B .
Tap count was 1100, 600 gph Ro, 2x6 forced draft patriot.
Looking to double in size for next year.

342 gallons total... after factoring in the changes this year (better vacuum pump, check valves, more taps) I would say 110% expected crop. Could have held on longer and made more C, but didn't seem worth it. Last year was 75-80% expected crop.

We ended up with 50 gallons bottled. Not a bad season for us...going for 100 gallons next year. Looking to clean up our lines and get more taps online for next season.

312 gal and still counting (I only have to finish off what was in the pans. I have drained the flue pan and will be finishing in the syrup pan tomorrow and finally in the finisher). Made some light, some medium and lots of dark amber. No B or C yet, but I think I may get some as I finish it off. Tap pulling starts tomorrow and we run the vacuum to dry the lines. Trying just drying for the second year as it seemed to work well last year. I'll boil while a 3 man crew pulls taps.
I finally finished off what had been in the pans. I ended up with 334 gal. My best season ever.

I agree it has been a long season, started tapping mid Feb. still getting sap as of today, but time to start pulling taps on Sat. ended up with just short of 100 gallons, lots of grade A med. now making some dark amber. Should have everything cooked by Mon. I would like to make some maple candy if anyone has a good recipe and could walk me through the steps.

48 gallons on red maples (133 on vacuum + 20 buckets). That's about 0.31 gal/tap, and our best season ever in 7 years of sugaring.

We ended up with around 28 gallons, which is about average for us. It was a fun season, and now it's time to clean out the evaporator.
