I am looking for information about oil burner nozzle. Does anyone have any information about type of replacement nozzles. There is a difference in GPM, Degree of burn ie 30% or 45%, and how they spray ie: hollow , full. Any help would be great.
thanks shane

If you go to your local burner suppler they typically have about 20 to 40 choices. Many are governed by how big the flow is.

Check with your burner head supplier for the recommended nozzles for your head. Usually there is a chart for each head showing the burn rate and width

Nozzles are rated by flow, angle and pattern all @ 100psi. The first number is gallons per hour followed by spray angle followed by pattern A is hollow, B is solid, W is a mix of A&B, there is also ES for extra solid and SS for super solid. So a 100x80a nozzle is 1 gal per hour @ 80degree angle spraying a hollow shape. If your pump pressure is higher than 100psi then the gallon per hour goes up. The type of nozzle you need is chosen by what your are firing it into. There are a few manufactures Delavan and Hago are the most common, check them out on the interweb.
