4cfm pump with 1000ft vac line to releaser

We have a small vacuum pump, about 4-5cfm at 15", that has to be placed about 1000ft from a releaser. I've read that a 2 to 3 inch diameter pipe must be used in order to maintain adequate vacuum at the releaser. This would be cost prohibitive for such a small sugarbush. Could we get away with a smaller diameter pipe, 1- 1/25", for such a small vacuum?

1" pipe can carry 4CFM up to 1000 feet. If this is the only releaser you will have on it you would probably be safe with 1" to 1 1/2". If it is just a supply line buy black water pipe use the savings to increase the diameter.
