Interesting weather headed our way!

Curious what this round of wierd weather is going to do for the trees. They are really not doing anything right now but we have some freezing at night projected for the next 3 nights (along with some serious snow accumilations projected!). Hoping that will turn into one last run. Compared to last year though I'm very happy with what we have so far.

I'm still hoping we will get a good run yet. I managed too scrounge up 47 gallons over the weekend and that boiled down into some of nicest syrup I have ever made. When the hydrometer said stop, I was left with 1.5 gallons of very light amber. Almost no niter in the filter, maybe a bit more than a golf ball size mass.

Gotta work thru Sunday now, but I don't think I will be missing anything at all. The silvers in my yard have small buds, but the sugars don't appear to be doing anything yet.

So far I had a better year last year, my trees aren't really doing anything. And last year really sucked! Hope things turn around after this blast of snow.
