I have some sap that I pulled a few days ago and had refrigerated, was out of town for a few days, and it has become slightly cloudy, I can still see the bottom of the 5 gallon bucket. It doesn't smell and I have begun processing it. No weird flavors that I can tell, just a lot of extra foam/impurities. Thoughts?

if the frogs arnt swimming in it yet just boil it and if it makes extra dark syrup use it in beans. i have boiled some that was turning yellow and got $22.00/ gallon for it as commercial syrup. never been afraid of the dark syrup before.

I've boiled some slightly cloudy sap over the last few days. Even in a couple buckets the bottom was just barely visible. I also had a lot of clear to mix with it. The syrup ended up great from it.

We boiled cloudy sap the other day and made some nice dark almost medium amber syrup. Unless it's buddy sap I'd boil it, I'm sure it will be fine.

Forgot to mention mine wasn't dark either. It was more on the light side of medium.
