Has anyone else noticed that their sap has turned quite acidic?
I was stuck last night by how much RO soap I had to add last night to get up to the proper cleaning pH for my membranes. Before I freaked out that I was going to toast my membranes, I tested the sap. Yow! that was a shocker.
I don't want to be alarmist, but folks using anything that has any lead (buckets, pans, bronze fittings, etc) might want to have their syrup lead tested before feeding it to the kiddos.
