We are looking at one of the best years since we started boiling! The Sap just keeps coming and the last run before this cold snap was at 3.5% Thank you Mother Nature :)

Send the warm weather this way! Cautiously optimistic here in Northern NH. I'm sitting at 92 gallons of syrup (85 % crop) and just two decent sap runs will get m to my goal of 110 gallons. All my tapholes are less than 4-1/2 weeks old and there could be plenty of sugaring left! And I got enough wood to make about a million gallons of syrup!

You better protect those tree's wth all you got,3.5% is almost unheard,been happy with 2.5,maybe 2.8,average in middle of ny around me is 2.0

I think a lot has to with our tree farm location along the river. Nobody has had 3.5% this season I thought my hydrometer was off at first.
