We boiled yesterday, then bottled, as rain came in and the pump had to be turned off. Changes to the syytem this year. we're trying to pull the sap down from 1,000 feet from the woods to the sap house, have to put in a dry line and booster. Live and learn. Too small to invest in any more high priced gadgets, this is a money pit! Luckily my husband loves it. Very disappointing year again. Too many off and on again days. High winds all night and heavy snow. Woke up to about 2-3 inches of it. 400 taps, 1520 gallons of sap(low sugar), about 32 gallons of syrup. must tweak the layout. Have until possibly next week for a bit more.
