What a strange/crazy/ welcomed spring we are having here in northern NY
2000 taps have produced just over 320 gallons of syrup so far
1 woods is bare ground, but still froze hard enough you can't dig a hole with a shovel
the other woods 1 1/2 miles up the road and 100 feet higher in elevation you still have to wear snowshoes to get around.
all syrup has been light amber, and have boiled 7 times already ( our personal record is 14)
can't keep candy instock
70 year old mother has already sold 250 lbs out of her house this spring
ebay has only sold 27lbs ( must be the little old lady charm is working better)
had bare ground and rain yesterday at my house and now this morning I wake up to 6 inches of fresh snow!?
was going to walk some tubing, but intead find myself typing to you guys and gals getting ready to start making some candy.
