For those that keep records what's the latest date you've made syrup? I just started a log 2 years ago so not much for reference. Last season and the forecast has me worried. Haven't bothered collecting yet, might have 40 gallons in my bags out of about 300 taps.

Last year was my first season sap flow stopped March 10th...this year its a month longer and probally will go past a month a little bit...so this year is my latest season!

I have 24 years of records at this location and my latest Syrup was Apr 24.

I only have 4 years' worth of records, but prior to this year my latest start to the sap flow was March 19. And that year I wrapped things up around April 6.

This year obviously is setting records for the latest start.... let's hope it also sets a record for the latest end too!

What were some of your earliest years if its not too much trouble to check?

1989 was a late start. Only gathered once in March and it wasn't much. The real flow started on April 1st that year and gathered the last on April 15th. There were some huge runs that spring and it wound up not being too bad. It was really cold up until March 24th and then turned summer like for 5-6 days between the 26th and end of March in the 60's and 70's, then turned cold again and thats when it started with a bang.

My earliest year was 2002, boiled on the 23rd of February, but then got cold for 3 weeks.

The earliest end to the season was last year when It ended on the 20th of March. The latest I have gone is April 21st. The earliest start to a season was last year when I tapped on February 7th and the latest on March 13th in 2005. We only had a 2 week season that year and I only made 45 gallons of syrup from 500 taps, 200 of those on vacuum.

My latest was 4/17 to finish boiling, BUT I had too many taps for the rig and my available time to boil. That year my last sap collection was 4/14 and it took me until 4/17 to finish it. I sure like my RO now, and my bigger evaporator too.

We've got records going back to 1989. Our latest last boil was April 20th (1997), our earliest last boil was March 18th (2012) and our median date for last boil is April 11th.
