The stainless plate on the inside of the cast door almost glows red enough that we could run without lights.7604

What stack temp do you need to get the door that hot ?

It must be a mean boil or sure.

Ours will get red on the evaporator side where the door seals. We've got a sheet of insulating blanket on our door so it doesn't get so hot. I don't know how hot we're running but the blue flame coming out of the stack after dark is pretty impressive.

My doors and arch front glow like that from time to time.
