What does snow cover mean for sap flow?

Last year, I had no snow and this year there's still over a foot on the ground. What does snow mean for sap production? Thanks!

Don't know... let us know after your season is over ;). Daytime/ nighttime temps seem to rule my sap flows, nice cold night followed by a sunny 40plus day and I am running to collect the sap ! :D Snow cover doesn't seem to affect me much as my best running trees are still in snow ... though all run under cold/warm scenario for me.

When there's snow cover ,it's more likely to get below freezing at night.
