I was finishing canning tonight while the arch was cooling down, looked inside and saw the white powder on the bottom of the pans, grabbed the flue pan brush, wiped the syrup pan off back to black or even stainless in some places.I couldn't reach the flue pan, still was too hot to mabe crawl in to reach it?Leader gave me a new fle brush for the Max flue pan,but have never used it yet,not sure of thread size and how easy or tough it would be to brush the 11&1/2" crimps I am sure it probably would help with the boil rate

Bruce - We use the flue brush on the underside of the flues every day before we fire up. If we've taken the front pan off to clean it we get into the fire box. Otherwise, we reach as far back as we can with the brush, which is tied to a 10ft piece of 1/2" metal conduit.

Bruce we brush the flu's every day before we fire. Seems to add about 5 gph to rate if there clean. Keith
