Finally got this years block arch and new "sink pan" fired up yesterday here in Spencer, Ny. Got a gallon and just short of a quart off of about 50 gallons of sap on 23 trees on tubing. Finally ran in the past few days to make it worth evaporating. Had the taps in for a few weeks now and got about 25 gallons in the first few days then nothing till now. Pretty light amber syrup. Definitely like the sink more than the steam tray pans, ladling is a pain but they do work well. How is everyone else doing in the area?

Trees are waking back up after the freeze. We have made about 16 gallons of syrup so far, 3 gallons Medium and the rest dark. Forcast looks good for the next 2 weeks so hopefully we'll make alot of syrup. If you get a chance stop in.

I'll drop by when i'm back in town headed to visit my grandma in CA tomorrow till next wed. My gf has yet to go to a real sugarhouse.
