The one I got is SWEEEEETTTT!

It has indoor/outdoor temp and Humidity, wind speed and direction and Barometric Pressure.

It transmits to a Desktop Station and to your computer and if you use a program called Cumulus it will report to http://www.weatherunderground.com and you can check the weather at your house from anywhere.

Not sure about Iphone and Droid apps yet that's the next thing I am gonna look for.

It's an Ambient Weather WS-1090 and about $110 at Amazon.com.

It even keeps a history log on your computer and on weatherunderground if you set that up.

I'm going to watch the Pressure and temp and see if I can't predict my flow better and it will be great for Hunting and Fishing too!

I'll post a link to my weatherunderground page tomorrow it takes a day to show up on there....

Cool Don. I never really watched the barometer, but I do track daily high/low and precipitation. I have noticed that, for me, the flow goes up and down seemingly with precipitation. As long as the temps are favorable, flow tends to increase a day or so before a front, peak during, and taper off a day or 2 after. It also seems when it rains at night, it helps to keep the temps up prolonging the flow into the night when things would usually shut down.

I think you will really like the ability to chart your data, and you should be able to make some good predictions for your sugarbush no matter what the weatherman says.

That's really slick. Are you known as AccuDon or the McWeatherNetwork?

Hey Don,
Did you calibrate your barometer?
Seemed like your pressure reading was a bit low in the other thread, or perhaps ours were just that different.

You can bring up the weather channel and just set to that reading (close enough), or the better way is to drive out to the local weather station or airport and then adjust (more accurate since that’s where the weather channel gets its data).

I use a buoy out in the middle of Lake St. Clair, sail up to it, get the reading, and calibrate. I don’t leave my barometer on the boat over the winter, so it’s home for the sugaring season.

That’s a nice rig though, think you talked me into it.
