I have bottled in numerous quart jugs before and never had a problem, but this year I am trying to bottle up some gallon jugs, and have had problems with them. I am using les Cruchon jugs, and am having trouble getting the lids to seal properly. Actually sometimes it seems like they seal, only to look at them a little later, and it seems the cap has lifted up some on the jug? I don't know if it's too hot, too full or what? Any pointers or suggestions?
Thanks

Tip the jug on it's side immediatly after putting the cap on. If it leaks it's it didn't seal. If you can get them switch to Bacon jugs. I have been using them for a few years now and have never had a leaker. They have the best cap in the industry.

Try using the caps from the quart bottles you have filled. I had a batch of lids last year that didnt want to seal, I changed to a different bag of lids and they sealed fine.
