My buckets and bags are frozen solid on the trees, we didn't have a big run to fill them, they seeped over a couple days and filled and are frozen. My question is what is the (shelf) life of frozen sap, I understand bacteria won't grow when that cold, and I've heard treat it like milk, milk usually has an expiration date of maybe a week out, will sap stay good that long or does it start to go bad ?

As long as its cold your fine if your buckets are a third full and it freezes real hard at night I would be worried about the buckets breaking at the seem a

The best results boil and collect every day whether its a lot or only a couple of gallons this keeps sap fresh and light color.won't have to worry about spoilage.
