Hi all. I'm thinking about trying check valves on my tubing for next year. I'm not using any vacuum, so I'm wondering...is there an advantage to using CVs on gravity? Are there better ones than others? I'm hoping to have around 100 taps on tubing for next season and I'm trying to get all of my ducks in a row now!

Yes they will work.
The idea behind check valves is that no sap is let back in the tap hole, which causes bacteria, which then causes the tree to start fighting off the bacteria by beginning to close the hole. The check valve allows the tap hole to stay open longer, which results in greater sap yield and they will work on gravity to just that so you should get more sap as your season will be longer.
