This is the best season i have had. The sap has been going great last few days. Just wondering if anyone in the area has a rough idea of the sugar content?

I don't have a sap hydrometer, but based on the amount of syrup I'm getting from sap, it looks like i'm getting about 2.5%. I expect it to be lower the next few days. I'm finally getting some darker syrup.

im in northern rhode island and just this week started to get darker syrup also. it has been very light for me since the taps went in. i agree that this is the best season yet for me.

Im done for the year. Took the taps out tonight. Best season i have had! Next year will be bigger and better.
