Vacuum Pump Heads

Do you have to do any machining or anything to the rotor or the housing acheive a constant high vacuum with dairy vacuum pumps and will be using my own oil flood system

Depending on wear it could be a good idea to polish the housing with a cylinder hone to get a tighter fit to the vanes.
