This one is dangerous if you like Bourbon and well we all love our Syrup . Here we go

2 Shots of top shelf Bourbon (ok if your not a Bourbon Snob any will do)
2 Table spoons of freshly squeezed lemon juice
2 Table spoons of Light/Fancy Maple Syrup

Pour contents listed above into a shaker with plenty of ice cubes , Shake very well and dump entire delicious contents into your favorite tumbler .
Enjoy !

Tried this drink last night (we have been waiting 2 weeks for our trees to run again) and everyone liked it. It just needs a name. How about: Sugarhouse Boiler.

How about "Northern Comfort" for the name

Thought of another: "Pan Burner" for all the people who drink it and fall asleep or to remind people not to fall asleep after drinking it.

The drink of choice in our sugar house is served in a shot glass 2/3 full of jamison topped off with syrup right off the pan. Makes for a great sippin drink on a cold boilin night.

dark roast coffee made in a french press with sap/syrup from the middle channel of the pan and a healthy dose of dark rum.

FWIW, I worked in Advertising as a copywriter and more than once had to come up with product names. So far I like Northern Comfort the best, both from a professional and personal standpoint.

Hey Galena, how do you find that the cast iron wood stove works? I've got an old cook stove gathering rust. Has removable inserts that you can set a pot over. It's about the perfect size for a warming tray. Do you get decent heat transfer off of it.

Meadster, you should call your drink "Meadster's Jolten Juice" I've got some Jamison's getting some extra aging in an oak cask and a pan on the burner. I just might give a Meadster's a try tonight.
