I was just wondering what the concensus was on cast iron filter presses, i know bascoms uses two that are huge in there operation so i would guess if it were a big issue they wouldnt use them but just curious what anyoneelse knew as far as inspectors or standards etc

I hope there ok , I have one that we have been useing for 20 years. It works as good now as it ever did! Maple inspector shows up here at least once and sometime twice a year and has never even said one word about cast iron press !!

On my 7" the hollow plates are thinner than the new aluminum ones. Thicker plates mean higher filter capacity.
