Sugaring in Iowa??

I have a job that im going to be taking in Iowa, working for John Deere. Was curious about sugaring in Iowa, is there much of it in the Des Moines area? Or should i just buy a really nice sugar lot up here in Michigan, and have a remote sugar camp? And yes, it is that good of a job to have a remote sugar camp and the time off to do sugaring...;)

We are just north of Ankeny and we have a little over 100 taps out. We have a lot of silvers in this area and if you can find some creek and small streams we have the black maples in those areas. We have virtually no sugar maples. We tested our sugar on the blacks and it was running 3% saturday. Good luck with the job move.
