Anyone know about how many fire brick it takes to do a 3'x8' drop flue? I have seen a chart before with that info on it but I just can not remember where.

Keith, Thank you. Where did you get that chart from. I sure the one that I have seen was in a maple equipment dealer's catalog. Next to every evaporater that was for sale it told how many bricks it took.

The old Leader Sugar Makers Guide they used put out every year would say how many bricks for each size evaporator.

I got that from an info sheet done by leader. But I also looked in the "Maple Sugar Makers Guide" by Leader and it says 140 for the whole arch and 90 if you don't do the rear bottom.
So there is a little contradiction but it gives you a estimate.
