Just a reminder of the Great PA State Maple Tour Sept 28- (work shop) 29 (tour), and 30 (tour) 2006. Planning to eat very well and talk a lot of maple.

We will accept late registrations after Aug 15 (late fee of $20 per person).

I just booked our room at the Riverside Inn and at $75.00 per night it is a good price. Looking forward to staying at this antique Inn.

Hope to see folks from the maple traders make it to this event. We have 5 dealers that will be on site. We will have a Chinese auction and there is a good chance we may raffle off a scale model of a evaporator.

Our Guest speaker will be Dr. Eric Randall from western NY. [/b]

We have extended our Registration deadline (without a late fee) to Aug 29, 2006 so if interested in the PA state tour please contact us.
Phone number for our Sect. Laura Dengler is 814-763-2777.
We would love to have enough folks for two full buses.
Just had some folks from NY call in tonight and said they saw the add in the "Pipeline" newspaper.

Matt, and family,
Thanks for making the trip! Great to meet and visit with you and your family on the tour. Looking forward to the Somerset tour next year. We will try to make it!

We had a great time and what an honor to get a nice round of applause for our sugar house. I got a lot of great questions from the participants on the tour and enjoyed opening our sugar house doors doors for some of our most dedicated maple producers.

Special thanks goes to all the NWPA board members for making this event a success.

Also thanks to Jim and Chase Bortles (Father and Son) who manned our dump and pump display and the 3 foot maple section displaying taps from 60-70 years ago.

Cheryl and I were excited to have Bruce and Brad from Leader take time to stop by our sugar house, they gave us some good pointers on stack temps and marketing ideas. We also got a picture of the Leader truck in front of the sugar house!

Sounds crazy but Cheryl and I were already talking about our next tour!
Lot of work but we had a great time!!! :D :D :D

Regards,
Chris and Cheryl
