PVD-1 membranes pass sugar?

I have a new PVD1 membrane and was wondering if these membranes are known to pass sugar at high sugar or not? I have been running them at about 350 psi and after the second pass bringing sugar up to around 20%. I did a test of the permeate..boiled down about 1/2 gal to just 1/4 cup and it tested at 2% sugar. If I only go to 8% sugar will I still have this problem or may it clear up for me? Thanks

Are the o-rings okay on the membrane adapter? Any wash with the ph pushing the upper limit? If so try an acid wash to shrink the pores.

No, all that is good. I was just wondering if 20% was too high of concentrate for these membranes or not?

Try backing it off to 8% and take a sample and see what happens.
