Last Sunday my Gast 3040 decided to eat the carbon veins. It did not hurt the bearings and all I needed to do is replace the veins. A quick internet search showed the veins being about 70.00 apiece times four needed. Luckily a local machine shop made a set of carbon veins for $140.00 for me in just a few hours. Now all I need is some warm temps for sap to run
